Rising New York Road Runners Virtual Black History Month Race

With the Rising New York Road Runners Black History Month Virtual Race, your kids can run or walk 1 mile, 1.5 miles, or 5K (3.1 miles) anywhere and anytime between February 19 and February 27 in honor of Black people who have been influential in your community and around the world.
Celebrate the contributions of the Black community throughout history, including runners, pioneers, and trailblazers such as Ted Corbitt, the father of long-distance running and NYRR’s founding president.
Kids can run inside, outside, or even on a treadmill! There's no need to track the time; just get out there and have fun!
While on your run or walk, check out the Ted Corbitt Loop in Central Park, or plan a visit to local monuments and places that highlight Black history.
Printable Bib and Finisher Certificate
Kids can print or create their bibs and dedicate their virtual race to Black trailblazers. After finishing the race, your kids can print out an official Rising New York Road Runners finisher certificate!
