How It Works
The 20-day plan includes 14 active and 6 rest days. It will help kids learn fundamental running skills and see their growth and improvement over time. Begin and end camp with a 10-minute run and end active Day 14 (Day 20) with a 10-minute run to check progress. To continue training after day 20, restart camp after a week of recovery. Find other ways to be active during this week such as yoga, swimming, walking, and bike riding. The time away from the structured training plan will leave you refreshed and ready to improve.
Kids can complete the activities on their own or in a group with friends and family. Some activities may require equipment such as agility ladder, balls, beanbags, cones, or rope. If you do not have these items, get creative and find other items that can be used in their place such as sidewalk chalk, socks, water bottles, pillows, foam blocks, stuffed animals, toys, hula hoops, and anything else you have access to!
Daily Training Plan: Access all the workouts in a shareable 20 day-by-day calendar format, including active days and rest days.
Tracker: On camp days, track progress and record feelings and learnings along the way.
Printable Certificate: After completing the 10-minute run on Day 1, kids should record their distance using their own measurement system (laps, miles, blocks, buildings/landmarks, etc.) on their certificate. At the end of active Day 14 (Day 20), kids will complete a 10-minute run with the goal of running farther and record the new distance on their certificate. Compare their performance and celebrate their hard work.
