CHAMPS Lesson Plans

Welcome to Rising New York Road Runners’ Lesson Plans specifically designed for CHAMPS to teach and develop participants’ basic fundamental skills of running, including proper form, balance, pacing, speed, and strength. These lessons offer fun, age-appropriate activities that follow social-distancing guidelines. Following these plans in order will provide participants the chance to learn these skills and see their growth over time, for example in week 6 participants will be asked to run for 10 minutes and see how far they can run in that time, and in week 16 they will be asked to run for the same amount of time and compare that experience to weeks prior.
