Rachel Marks is an RRCA-certified coach who started running in 2011 when she registered for the Brooklyn Half on a whim. This experience had her hooked and running became a passion and a lifestyle. Running makes Rachel feel alive, strong, fulfilled, and HAPPY! She loves to share her joy with other runners while helping them to reach their running goals. Rachel enjoys races of all distances, but the half-marathon and marathon will always hold special places in her heart. Rachel has run eight marathons and over 30 half marathons to date and isn’t planning on stopping any time soon.

 

Where is your favorite place to run in New York City?
I love running around Brooklyn…Prospect Park, Brooklyn Bridge Park, and the piers of Red Hook.

What is your favorite NYRR race?
The TCS New York City Marathon! It is the BEST day of the entire year and there is nothing like the 26.2-mile block party.

What is your personal running motto?
