Michelle Rumph
Michelle was a longtime Group Training runner and became a coach because she wanted to inspire others to enjoy running. Michelle is an RRCA Level 1 Certified Coach and has been with NYRR Group Training since February 2019. She started running to maintain a healthy lifestyle and became hooked. Michelle looks forward to meeting, encouraging, and building camaraderie with new runners at Group Training. As a runner, Michelle has completed over 30 half marathons and eight marathons, including New York City, Chicago, Berlin, and London.

How would you describe your coaching style?
Holistic/considerate coaching—I enjoy connecting, encouraging, and building relationships with the runners. I enjoy coaching the Fundamentals group because I started running with Group Training Fundamentals and I share my journey with the group.
What is your proudest coaching moment?
Running the 2019 TCS New York City Marathon with a Fundamentals runner. This was the runners first marathon, and the goal was to have fun and finish!
