Lily has been running for 20 years and coaching for more than3 years. She'd like her runners to be the fastest and fittest they can be, but mostly to have the most fun possible.

NYRR Group Training

How would you describe your coaching style? 
More focused on feeling than pace. Lighthearted and upbeat.

What is your proudest coaching moment? 
When a runner told me that she had just run the furthest she'd ever run, and that she wouldn't have finished without me.

What is your favorite workout to coach and why?
I love coaching tempo runs because it's the trickiest pace to get right, and I love seeing people surprised at how good running hard can feel.

Where is your favorite place to run in New York City?
Red Hook waterfront

What is your favorite NYRR race?
The TCS New York City Marathon! A close second is any 10K along the Central Park loop.

What is your personal running motto?
I love that I get to do this. This matters.
