Harry Neuhaus

  • Group Training

Harry began his running career in January 2010 by training with Jack Rabbit for the NYRR Japan Run 8K race. His first loop of Prospect Park was accomplished using a run one minute/walk one strategy as he couldn't run for much longer. Upon finishing the race, he immediately signed up with Jack Rabbit again and began training for his first half–marathon –in Brooklyn. The first thing he told his wife upon crossing the finish line was that he’s running the TCS New York City Marathon. He trained with Team for Kids, finished in under four hours, and was asked to be in the first r class. I became an NYRR half marathon pacer. I am 65 pounds lighter than when I started 12 years ago, have run eight marathons with a PR of 3:21:07. In 2014, he switched to triathlons and to date has done six 70.3 events with a PR of 5:11:26 and many half marathons and Olympic triathlons. Since 2016, he has represented his home country of Mexico in the ITU Age Group Olympic Distance Triathlon World Championships. Harry believes that the best results are achieved with patience, good coaching, and a group of like-minded individuals to enjoy the process. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and Cavalier King Charles.
