Group Training
What languages do you speak?
English and French
How would you describe your coaching style?
I am enthusiastic, upbeat, energetic, and most of all, and I am committed to your goals.
What is your proudest coaching moment?
I had a front-row seat for many thrilling personal victories helping a client earn her Six-Star medal (running Tokyo and London in the same season!); this was a definite high point.
What is your favorite workout to coach and why?
I love it when runners nail perfect negative splits in tempo workouts. Those are days when everything seems to fall into place and athletes begin to realize how much they are truly capable of achieving.

More than five years
Please list any awards, achievements, or certifications below.
I am an RRCA-certified running coach, a four-time Boston qualifier, and a Jeopardy! Champion.
What is your favorite place to run in New York City?
I have a loop that takes me down to the bottom of the Bridle Path, then back uptown along the Hudson River Greenway. It has some good hills, and a great mix of NYC excitement, spectacular views, and Central Park green space.
What is your favorite NYRR race?
Ohh, that’s a tough one...probably the Fifth Avenue Mile.
What is your personal running motto?
Who could argue with Des Linden?! "Keep showing up."
