Q&A with Carolyn

What program do you coach?
Group Training

How would you describe your coaching style?

I’d describe my coaching style as fun and encouraging. I believe running should be fun, but I also know it's hard. I'm here to listen to the athlete to see where they are and what they need in the moment to help them on their journey.

What is your proudest coaching moment?
Whenever a runner achieves any goal, no matter how small, that’s when I’m the proudest. Seeing all the hard work payoff is the most rewarding.

What is your favorite workout to coach and why?
I love a good tempo! It's putting your foot on the gas and leaving it there in a semi uncomfortable place. It's the knife edge that really pushes the athlete.

How many years have you been coaching?

Seven years, starting with Team in Training and then Gotham City Runners.
