NYRR Celebrates Hispanic / Latinx Heritage Month

Hispanic Heritage Month, also known as Latinx Heritage Month, celebrates the contributions of Hispanic/Latinx Americans to events in U.S. history and contemporary society.
To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, from September 15 to October 15, we at New York Road Runners will be sharing stories from our Hispanic/Latinx running community about how young and adult athletes, individuals, and run crews, are spreading the love of running and helping make the sport more inclusive and diverse.
We kick off the month with the inspirational blog post below, written by our 10-year-old Rising New York Road Runners Youth Ambassador Kylie Feliciano. Kylie is second-generation Latinx and she shares a love of running with her dad.
As we proceed through the month, we’ll update this page to share more stories about our diverse Latinx community and ideas to inspire you to experience Latinx culture In New York City. Keep checking back throughout the month!
