What Are You Thankful for This November?

So much has happened in 2020, and for many of us it may feel hard to focus on gratitude this November, the traditional month of giving thanks.

All of us at New York Road Runners are incredibly thankful to you, our runners. Thank you for running with us this year—in our in-person and virtual races, our virtual training offerings, virtual Rising New York Road Runners, Striders, and other programs, our NYRR RUNCENTER offerings, our returning Open Runs, and more.

We share here what we and others—including pro athletes and program participants—are thankful for in 2020.

From November 21 through 29, we invite you, wherever you are in the world, to run or walk the Virtual NYRR Run for Thanks 5K and dedicate your 3.1 miles to whoever or whatever you’re thankful for—especially in 2020. We at NYRR feel gratitude for many things—our diverse runners, staff, and volunteers, and the inspiring Rising New York Road Runners, just to name a few—and will be running for them all month long.

What about you—for whom or for what are you grateful this month and year? Share using #ReasonToRun and make sure to tag that special person or group to show your appreciation.

Despite all the challenges this year, we have a great opportunity this month: we can be thankful.
