Celebrate Caribbean-American Heritage Month in Prospect Park with caribBEING and Prospect Park Alliance. Brooklyn's backyard will be home to a month-long series of workshops, art installations, and other special events. Enjoy Caribbean art, music, dance, food, wellness, and much more during this cultural celebration for people of all ages. All participating artists and vendors are based in Brooklyn and hail from Jamaica, Haiti, Trinidad, Panama, Barbados, Dominican Republic, and Guyana. NYRR Prospect Park Running History Tour, Dates All Summer Long

#GetOutToRun with New York Road Runners at an NYRR Prospect Park Running History Tour, presented in partnership with Prospect Park Alliance. Starting from the historic Soldiers' and Sailors' Memorial Arch at Grand Army Plaza, you’ll be led by one of the NYRR Group Training coaches to historical spots in Prospect Park. Experience the park’s deep history at a comfortable (~10:00 min/mile) pace that’ll allow for plenty of photo opps and questions along the 2.5-mile route. Learn more and register for a tour.

Join Prospect Park Alliance, Bend + Bloom Yoga, and NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital every Thursday for free community yoga classes in the park’s iconic Long Meadow. University Open Air, June 11-30

Put your thinking cap on because this June, Brooklyn Public Library and Prospect Park Alliance are presenting University Open Air, a free series of classes taking place in Prospect Park. The professors are refugees and immigrants who were teachers, researchers, and academics in their home countries, and the lecture halls are surrounded by the natural beauty of Prospect Park.
