Virtual 6 Runners Ready to Race Through Brooklyn

The 2019 Popular® Brooklyn Half is fast approaching. This year, we’ll be welcoming the NYRR Virtual 6 class of 2018 to Brooklyn!

What is the Virtual 6 program, you ask? Runners who registered for—and completed—six NYRR virtual races at the NYRR Virtual 6 program rate last year were eligible to sign up for this year’s Popular® Brooklyn Half before general registration opened.

Hundreds of Virtual 6 program finishers will travel from around the globe to Brooklyn for the largest half-marathon in the country, which finishes on the iconic Coney Island boardwalk. Countries represented include France, Germany, Peru, Switzerland, and New Zealand. And for those Virtual 6 finishers, they will also get the opportunity to take part in a Virtual Racing Shakeout Run with Meb Keflezighi on Friday, May 17.
