4,667 runners kicked off Harlem Week 2023 at the Percy Sutton Harlem 5K Run taking on the streets, hills, and sights of Harlem. Harlem Week is an annual celebration promoting Harlem’s rich history in arts, culture, religion, business, entertainment, and sports.
Young runners aged 2 through 18 kicked off Harlem Week 2023 with the Rising New York Road Runners at the Percy Sutton Harlem 5K.
Participants from 2023 summer cohort of NYRR Run for the Future, a free seven-week program for high school girls in New York City with little to no running experience, ran their first celebratory 5K on Saturday, August 12, at the Percy Sutton Harlem 5K.
