2019 TCS New York City Marathon – Virtual 26.2M Terms and Conditions

ENTRIES TO THE 2019 TCS NEW YORK CITY MARATHON – VIRTUAL 26.2M (2020 Entry) (“Virtual Marathon”) ARE LIMITED AND OFFERED ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS AND ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO PARTICIPANTS THAT ARE ALREADY SIGNED UP FOR THE 2019 TCS NEW YORK CITY MARATHON. PARTICIPANTS THAT COMPLETE THE VIRTUAL MARATHON IN ACCORDANCE WITH THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS WILL RECEIVE THE FOLLOWING: (1) A GUARANTEED, NON-COMPLIMENTARY ENTRY TO THE 2020 TCS NEW YORK CITY MARATHON (SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE NYRR MEMBER AND NON-MEMBER RATES), (2) A VIRTUAL MARATHON FINISHER MEDAL, AND (3) ACCESS TO SPECIAL PROGRAMMING AT THE 2020 TCS NEW YORK CITY MARATHON (the Virtual Marathon finisher medal and access special to special programming at the 2020 TCS New York City Marathon are provided at no additional charge).

Virtual Marathon participants must be 18 years or older.  Using the Strava app to track their participation, participants must complete the total Virtual Marathon distance of 26.2 miles, by either running and/or walking only, within a continuous period of 6 hours and 30 minutes any time between October 31, 2019 and November 3, 2019. Virtual Marathon must be completed by 11:59 p.m. (in the participant’s time zone) on November 3, 2019, and uploaded to Strava by 11:59 p.m. (in the participant’s time zone) on November 6, 2019. NYRR is not responsible for late, lost, damaged, incomplete or inaccurate Virtual Marathon results.

Furthermore, NYRR is not responsible for errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects, or delays in operations or transmission of information, in each case whether arising by way of technical or other failures or malfunctions of computer hardware, software, communications devices; or for transmission lines or data corruption, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of data, including Virtual Marathon results. NYRR reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any participant from the Virtual Marathon or any other event conducted now or in the future by NYRR if he/she tampers with the Virtual Marathon or if his/her fraud or misconduct affects the integrity of the Virtual Marathon.

For the avoidance of doubt, any attempt by any participant to complete the Virtual Marathon on behalf of one or more individuals will result in the disqualification of all individuals involved in such transgression.
