2023 NYRR Hall of Fame Nomination Form

The NYRR Hall of Fame honors the legendary figures of our sport, who through their triumphs and contributions have made NYRR and the TCS New York City Marathon what they are today.

You are invited to nominate candidates for the next inductees into the NYRR Hall of Fame, and you can submit your nomination for the Class of 2023 any time between April 5 and April 23.

Nominations will be reviewed and voted on by the NYRR Hall of Fame Selection Committee. Inductees will be announced in the fall leading up to the 2023 TCS New York City Marathon.

In order to be eligible to be inducted into the NYRR Hall of Fame, candidates must fit the following three criteria:

• Nominees are professional athletes, legendary runners, or race directors who have either already retired or will be retiring the year of their induction.
• Nominees are considered for induction based on achievements of their entire career, including the New York City Marathon and other NYRR races and events.
• Consideration is also given to a nominee’s character, conduct, and contributions to the sport off the roads, as well as their ties to NYRR’s mission and values.
