NYC with MEB
And, I love the TCS New York City Marathon. It’s been my privilege to run through the five boroughs 12 times. Winning the race in 2009 – the first time an American won in 27 years – while wearing the USA jersey was an honor of a lifetime and a memory I’ll cherish forever.
That’s why I’m so proud to share a new video series: NYC with MEB.
Every week, to help you get ready for race day, NYRR’s Coach Ben and I will take you through a portion of the marathon course. We’ll talk course strategy, key tips to remember, and I’ll share some of my favorite memories (or “Mebories”) of my experiences running the course. For this week’s episode, I brought a special souvenir from the 2002 New York City Marathon that will show at least one way that the marathon has changed in the past 20 years.
Stay tuned, runners! We’ll be back next week from the start line on Staten Island.
