Community Donations

Clothing Donations

NYRR proudly donates extra race premiums—including T-shirts, hats, and glassware—along with shoes, furniture, and exercise equipment to those in need. We collaborate with several local organizations, from those that provide clothing to young athletes in underserved communities to those that offer support to children and adults battling chronic illnesses.

In fall 2017, we provided over 5,800 items, including T-shirts, running shoes, water bottles, and drawstring backpacks to Rising New York Road Runners schools in Texas and Florida whose students and their families were affected by hurricanes. We never stop looking for more ways to serve communities everywhere, in addition to the work we do across the five boroughs. If you know of any organization or charity that could benefit from extra race T-shirts, email clothingdonations@nyrr.org, and include sizes and quantities to help us fulfill your request.

Disaster Relief: How You Can Help

In 2017, in response to natural disasters that struck the country, New York Road Runners and our partners responded and offered opportunities for 2017 TCS New York City Marathon entrants and their loved ones to contribute support.

Many of our Official Charity Partners accepted donations through their websites and at the TCS New York City Marathon Expo Presented by New Balance.

Abbott World Marathon Majors and New York Road Runners together donated $50,000 toward disaster relief.

Rising New York Road Runners worked with its schools in affected areas to offer support with clothing and equipment donations.

Thank you for coming together with us to make a difference by supporting people during challenging times.
