NYRR Member Division
All prize money amounts are equal for men, women, and non-binary categories, and subject to all applicable rules and policies regarding prize money. To be eligible for all prize money categories, including team money, a runner must have had a valid paid NYRR membership since at least January 7, 2024 through at least the date of the race, and must complete the course in 28 minutes or less.

NYRR Member Top Borough Finisher (net time)
The top man, woman, and non-binary finisher from each borough, based on Net Time, who meet the NYRR Member Division requirements will be awarded $250. Residency is determined by zip code at the time of registration. No double-dipping allowed—a runner can earn prize money from one category (either Individual Prize Money or Top Borough Finisher prize money), only. If a runner qualifies for prize money in multiple categories, only the highest amount will be paid.
NYRR Member Division Team Prize Money (net time)
Team prize money amounts are equal for men, women, and non-binary categories. For scoring purposes, a men’s team must consist of five men, a women’s team must consist of five women, and a non-binary team must consist of three non-binary athletes, all running with the same team affiliation. All scoring members must meet the eligibility requirements for NYRR Member Division prize money outlined above. Team prize money is based on the cumulative Net Time of the team members.

As a World Athletics Label race, the Mastercard NY Mini 10K operates under World Athletics rules, and is subject to all applicable rules and policies regarding prize money. To be eligible for any category of prize money, a runner must complete the course in 42 minutes or faster.
Prize Money for Invited Professional Athletes
Open Division
Prize money amounts are for women, only. All prize money divisions are determined by Gun Time. Only women starting as part of the Professional Athlete early start will be eligible for prize money in the Open Division category.

USA Division
Prize money amounts are for women, only. Cumulative with prize money in the Open Division and NYRR Member Division, if applicable. To be eligible for USA Division prize money, athletes must provide proof of USA citizenship, preferably a passport. Includes athletes from USA territories like Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands. Only women starting as part of the Professional Athlete early start will be eligible for USA Division category.

Wheelchair Division
Due to conflicting events the same weekend that require athlete participation for Paralympic Games qualification, there will be no professional wheelchair division race at this year’s Mastercard New York Mini 10K.
Prize Money for NYRR Member Division
Prize money amounts are for women, only. To be eligible for prize money in the NYRR Member Division, a runner must have had a valid paid NYRR membership since at least March 8, 2024 through at least the date of the race. Cumulative with prize money in the Open Division and USA Division, if applicable. Priority for NYRR Member Division prize money will be given to women who meet the NYRR Member Division requirements who start as part of the Professional Athlete early start and will be based on order of finish as determined by Gun Time. Remaining spots, if applicable, will be paid out of the Mass Participation start, based on Net Time.

NYRR Member Division 40+
NYRR Member Division 40+ prize money is for women athletes who meet the NYRR Member Division requirements and are 40 years of age or older. It is cumulative with prize money in the Open Division and USA Division, if applicable. Priority for NYRR Member Division 40+ prize money will be given to women who start as part of the Professional Athlete early start and will be based on order of finish as determined by Gun Time. Remaining spots, if applicable, will be paid out of the mass participation start, based on Net Time.
